Why are you starting a business? Though it can be enticing, money should not be your only motivation. For a business to endure the test of time, the founder has to genuinely believe in the product/service. Consider trying to convince someone to change their trusted brand of soap using this line, “the new soap is good.” Now consider yourself as the customer; is that enough to make you change your trusted brand? The initial stages of entrepreneurship are key to success and need to be fostered properly to build a prominent brand. Find a mentor that already works in the industry and shadow their day to day activity. This will further help you unveil the “why” and some of the challenges you may encounter. The “Why” is just as important as any other factor in the blueprint of a successful business. Let the “Why” be your motivation and everything else will fall into place proving why your business should be the trusted brand.
